Journey Group Leader

  • Be a committed member of the Journey Church.
  • Commit to the vision of the Pastor and keep it before the group.
  • Nurture community, loving relationships and fun activities within the group.
  • Oversee the entire ministry of the group.
  • Motivate and assist the Co-Leader, Inreach/Outreach Leader and Care Leader.
  • Prepare diligently to effectively communicate lessons each week as assigned by the Pastor.
  • Mentor a Co-Leader in preparation for leadership of a new class when the opportunity arises.

Journey Group Co-Leader

  • Be a committed member of the Journey Church.
  • Commit to the vision of the Pastor and keep it before the group.
  • Assist Group Leader in carrying out the entire ministry of the group.
  • Prepare diligently to effectively communicate lessons in the Group Leader(s) absence.

Inreach/Outreach Leader

  • Be a committed member of the Journey Church.
  • Develop and oversee a team to contact absentees. Report any ministry needs to the Group Leader.
  • Develop and oversee a team to visit new class prospects.
  • Send notes of encouragement or congratulations as opportunities arise within the group.
  • Involve as many group members as possible in your ministry.

Care Leader

  • Be a committed member of the Journey Church.
  • Develop and oversee a group notification system (such as e-mail, prayer chain, etc.) in the event of hospitalization or a death in the family.
  • Develop and oversee a team to provide meals during illness, hospitalization, or a death in the family.
  • Let the church office and James know what meal arrangements have been made for the family during illness, hospitalization, or death in the family.
  • Develop and oversee a team to pray and visit those who are hospitalized.
  • Send ministry cards on behalf of the class to those who are ill, who have lost loved ones or are experiencing other difficulties.
  • Involve as many group members as possible in your ministry.

Evangelism 

  • Be a committed member of the Journey Church
  • Commit to the vision of the Pastor of “Bringing those far from God close to God”
  • Be sensitive those who may not be saved.
  • Continually look for ways to bring new people into the class.
  • Encourage other member to invite the lost and others who might not be in church or Journey Group to your class.
  • Pray for the lost.
